It’s been all about the comfort food here lately because of the pandemic here’s another classic. My Creamy Mac & Cheese Recipe. Sometimes I like to change the milk for heavy cream. Highly recommend. You could also swap the milk for a non dairy substitute and the butter for 3 tbsp vegetable or coconut oil.
Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked pasta
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 2-3 tbsp grated Parmesan
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheese plus 1 more for topping, grated (you could also do half Gouda)
- a dash of hot sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Set a oven to 350 degrees grab a large baking dish and toss the strained cooked macaroni in.
- In a medium saucepan set to medium heat melt the butter.
- Add the milk, both cheeses, mustard powder and hot sauce. Whisk until the sauce starts to thicken and bubble, season with salt and pepper, then remove from the heat.
- Pour the sauce over the macaroni and stir it in well. Top it off with 1 cup of shredded cheese or more if you like.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the desired crispness of the cheese. Enjoy, like and share please. Have a great evening.
