Get your ice cream and make this super easy Bread And Butter Pudding. This recipe was made so you don’t really have to think about it. Now you can half this if need be. I use a sweet bread if I have it like my Hawaiian sweet bread but you can use whatever you have handy.
Ingredients
- 1 litre of milk 4 cups
- 1 loaf of bread
- 10 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup butter melted
Directions
- Set oven to 325 degrees and grease a large baking dish.
- Tear up the bread and toss it in the dish. Sprinkle the raisins on top
- Get a large bowl and whisk the eggs, sugar, salt and cinnamon together.
- pour in the milk and vanilla, whisk well.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and mix it in well.
- Pour the melted butter over the top and let it set for 20 minutes.
- Bake a 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes. I find covering it for the last 15 minutes so the raisins don’t burn. Serve it up warm with some vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce if you like.
